- Irish-based firms wishing to apply for a subsidy under the Employment
Subsidy Scheme (closing date: 4th September 2009) can use our
financial projection software to help prepare the required cashflow
and trading projections. More details here.

- Existing releases of Exl-Plan, Cashflow
Plan, Free-Plan and Biz-Plan all
run very satisfactorily with Microsoft Office 2007 (Excel 2007
and Word 2007). We have updated installation/running instructions
throughout the site and added new FAQ pages about using Excel 2007
for Exl-Plan and Cashflow
Plan.

- The Business
Plan Guide has been rewritten and expanded to include
much more detail and advice.
- Free-Plan and Biz-Plan business
plan guides and templates have been upgraded to release 3.0.
They now include substantial additional content and a separate Business
Plan Template for
Word (48 pages) and complementary Guide (supplied
as a 90+ topic Help file and as a 100+ page PDF file for printing).
- Inclusion of Free-Plan release 3.0 in all free, trial
and commercial versions of Exl-Plan.
January 2006
- The freeware version of Exl-Plan
has been completely rebuilt and now generates annual projections
for two years ahead (instead of for just six months with the previous
version). It is identical in all other respects to Exl-Plan Basic.

- The Exl-Plan range of business
financial planners has been extended to include Exl-Plan
Basic for
generating high-level and/or first-cut projections for five years
based on annual assumptions. This low-cost version (US$29) meets
many basic planning needs and is a great introduction to the
more detailed monthly/quarterly planners within the Exl-Plan range.

- The Exl-Plan range of business
financial planners has been upgraded to release 2.6. Lots of minor
changes as well as addition of Start worksheet and improvements to
the interaction between an Exl-Plan workbook and other workbooks.

- The Cashflow Plan range of business
cash flow planners has been upgraded to release 1.3 - lots of small
improvements and changes to make them even more useful and easier
to use including:
- Introduction of Free version offering rolling 6-month projections as
freeware.
- Addition of the Cashflow Plan Improver to all versions
to help assess and enhance a business's cash flow.
- Addition of comprehensive tools to the Super and Ultra versions
to facilitate consolidation of projections for a group of
subsidiary businesses. A Cashflow Plan Consolidator Guide which is included in the download files for
Cashflow Plan Super and Ultra.

Business Planning has been greatly expanded as the result of incorporating

downloadable Word-based manuals (100+ pages) for Exl-Plan and Cashflow Plan.
These manuals can be used to guide potential customers on their purchase
decisions, and by users to supplement online help or replace the optional
printed manuals.
- Compiled a 30-point Checklist for
Preparing a Business Plan in a convenient on-page format.
- Updated Free-Plan, our Word-based business
plan guide and template, by adding about eight more pages of advice and
guidance.

- Launched Cashflow Plan, a new range
of Excel-based, business cashflow planners. All five versions generate
fully-integrated projections (cashflows, income statements, balance sheets,
ratios and charts) for 12 months ahead, and for the initial three months on a
weekly basis. They include facilities for sensitivity analyses and for rolling
projections forward one month at a time to simplify regular updating of
cashflow forecasts. Full details and

- To coincide with the launch of Cashflow Plan, we compiled a
Checklist for Improving Cashflow - over 30
ways are described - and extended the white paper on Making Cashflow Forecasts.

- Addition of Exl-Plan Ultra Plus to the Exl-Plan range of financial planners. Ultra Plus is the
most powerful version of Exl-Plan - it accommodates ten revenue/cost groups and
covers three years' projections on a monthly basis; quarterly projections for a
further two years; and, optionally, annual projections for sixth and seventh
years.

financial planners to include Super Plus and Ultra aimed at
larger businesses. Super Plus is similar to the Super but handles a
greater range of sales and cost variable. Ultra is based on Super but
generates monthly projections for three years (instead of one year with Super)
with quarterly projections for a further two years and, optional, annual
